Compatible Canon models
The Jinnet BG-E8 battery grip fits Canon EOS 550D, 600D, 650D and 700D cameras, also known as Rebel T2i, T3i, T4i and T5i. It attaches to the base of the body and provides a vertical shooting position with duplicated controls. Power comes from either two LP-E8 lithium-ion packs or six AA cells.
Photographers needing vertical handling
Shooters who frequently work in portrait orientation gain a second shutter release, main dial, AE-lock, index/reduce and exposure buttons on the grip. The design adds a tripod socket in line with the lens axis. Users who never shoot vertically or who prefer the lighter un-gripped body will not benefit from the extra bulk.
Dual battery system
The grip holds two LP-E8 packs simultaneously, doubling the available capacity compared with a single in-camera battery. Alternatively it accepts six standard AA cells for emergency backup. No other power options are supported.

Questions about this item
How do I attach the grip to my EOS 550D, and what step is often missed?
Remove the camera's battery cover, slide the grip onto the base until the locking pin engages, then tighten the tripod screw; the step often missed is inserting the supplied battery cover holder into the camera body first.
What will need replacing on the BG-E8 after extended use?
The AA battery tray or LP-E8 magazine contacts can wear, and the vertical shutter button's tactile switch may lose its click after heavy shooting.
What limit appears first when I shoot continuously with two LP-E8 packs in the grip?
The camera's own thermal cut-off typically stops video recording before the combined battery capacity is exhausted.
