Portable Bluetooth speaker with RGB lighting

The JLab Pop Party is a navy-coloured portable speaker that delivers 5 watts of power through a 5.08-centimetre full-range driver and passive woofer. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to smartphones, tablets and laptops, offering 8-plus hours of playtime or 5-plus hours with the RGB lighting active. The IP55 rating protects against water jets and dust for outdoor use.

App control and multi-speaker sync

The free JLab app provides direct control over customisable RGB LED colours, patterns and four EQ4 sound modes so you can tune the audio to the moment. LabSync technology links up to 100 compatible JLab party speakers simultaneously, while a stereo pairing mode with two units creates a true left-right channel experience for wider sound.

Check Bluetooth source and charging time

Verify that your phone, tablet or laptop supports Bluetooth audio streaming, as the speaker has no wired input ports. The battery requires an overnight recharge to reach full capacity and no fast-charge capability is listed, so plan charging ahead of long outings. The detachable loop handle adds carrying flexibility but does not replace a mounting system.

Questions about this item

Will the 2-inch passive woofer need to be replaced over time?

The passive woofer has no moving coil or amplifier of its own, so it does not wear out like an active driver and requires no scheduled replacement.

What limits continuous playback during a long outdoor event?

Battery life caps at 8 hours without RGB lighting and 5 hours with the lights on, so the charge runs out before thermal limits become an issue.

How hot does the speaker get when running all day with RGB lighting active?

The enclosure stays warm but not hot; the 5-watt amplifier and LED array draw little power, so surface temperature remains comfortable to touch during extended use.
