Steam-powered dryer balls

The IncrediBall set contains two reusable balls that release steam inside a tumble dryer. Each ball is filled with water before use and then tossed in with the laundry. The steam softens fabrics and smooths wrinkles without chemical softeners or dryer sheets. The red balls weigh 0.33 kg each and carry model number 5814.

Households wanting less ironing and waste

These balls suit anyone who wants to cut ironing time, avoid disposable dryer sheets and reduce fabric softener use. They are not for homes without a tumble dryer or for users who prefer scented laundry additives. Delicate items that cannot take heat or steam should be dried separately.

Fillable steam chamber

Each ball has an internal reservoir that holds water and releases it as steam during the drying cycle. This steam action is the single feature that replaces softener sheets and reduces wrinkles. If a dryer cannot accommodate loose items or the user cannot add water before every load, the balls will not work as intended.

Questions about this item

Should I buy one set of two IncrediBall Dryer Steamer Balls or get multiple sets for larger laundry loads?

Each set contains two reusable balls designed for simultaneous use in a single dryer cycle. Adding a second set gives you four balls total, which can improve air circulation and steam distribution for bulky items like bedding or towels.

How does the steam feature actually reduce wrinkles on a forgotten load left in the dryer?

You fill each ball with water before tossing them in. As the dryer heats, the water turns to steam inside the drum, relaxing fibres and smoothing creases without a separate ironing step.

Do these balls work with any type of tumble dryer, or do I need a specific steam cycle?

They operate in any standard tumble dryer; no dedicated steam cycle is required. The heat from a normal drying programme vaporises the water inside the balls to generate steam.
