UHF Desktop Intercom for Business Use

The Jobcom JBS-447D is a desktop wireless intercom operating on the UHF band. It is built for business environments that need simple two-way voice communication between fixed locations. The steel chassis and black finish suit office or light industrial settings where a permanent desk unit is preferred over a portable handset.

Ten-Channel UHF Operation

This model provides ten selectable channels on the UHF band. An external channel selector lets users switch frequencies quickly without opening the case. The fixed 2 mW output power defines the communication range, making the unit suitable for on-site coordination across a single building or campus.

Fixed Low-Power Coverage

With a 2 mW transmitter, the intercom comfortably handles room-to-room or floor-to-floor conversations within typical commercial structures. It runs out of range when thick concrete, steel framing or long outdoor distances attenuate the signal. The included AC adapter and flex antenna support continuous desktop operation without battery management.

Questions about this item

How far will the 2 mW UHF output reach inside a building?

The 2 mW UHF output is intended for short-range indoor use such as office or warehouse floors; walls and steel structures will reduce the effective distance.

Does the external channel selector work with standard UHF channel spacing?

The external selector steps through the 10 pre-programmed UHF channels on the unit; it does not accept arbitrary frequency entry.

What desk space does the 5 39/64 in by 3 51/64 in footprint need?

The desktop chassis measures 5 39/64 in long by 3 51/64 in wide, so it fits on a standard shelf or counter with room for the flex antenna.
