Smartphone Motion Kit

The Joby Spin Phone Mount Kit JB01664 gives smartphone creators a motorised pan and tilt head paired with the GripTight PRO mount. It connects to the Joby Motion app on iOS or Android over Bluetooth for programmable moves. The kit supports devices up to 750g and attaches to any 1/4-20" support such as a GorillaPod or TelePod. Tripod is not included.

From Static to Moving Shots

This kit replaces handheld panning or fixed tripod work when you need repeatable, smooth motion for timelapse, panoramic stills or b-roll video. The jump is worth it when you want automated multi-row panoramas or consistent speed ramps without manual effort. It is not for creators who need motorised slider travel or vertical lift movements.

Bluetooth Control and Battery Limits

Operation depends on the Joby Motion app and a Bluetooth link to the phone; range and stability follow standard phone Bluetooth behaviour. The internal battery charges in 150 minutes via USB-C and runs for up to 3 hours of shooting depending on load. It cannot be powered externally while rotating, so plan sessions within that window.
