Contact Burnisher Pack

The Jonard OB-2/12 pack contains twelve contact burnisher files designed for cleaning electrical contacts. Each file has a flat blade measuring 1/4 inch wide and 1 1/2 inch long with a 1/100 inch thickness. The tools are packaged in a clear plastic bag that protects them from grease and moisture.

Sensitive Electrical Work

These burnishers remove oxide layers and corrosion from live contacts without leaving filings or causing shorts, making them suited for technicians servicing relays, switches and fine-pitch connectors. They are not intended for heavy material removal, deburring or general-purpose filing tasks that require aggressive cutting action.

Extra Sensitive Cut

The extra sensitive cut type determines whether this pack is the right choice, as it governs how gently the blades clean delicate contacts without damaging thin plating or leaving debris.

Questions about this item

What comes in the OB-2/12 pack and do I need anything else to use them?

How do I choose between the different OB-2 versions or quantities?

This listing is the twelve-piece pack of the extra-sensitive, flat-blade OB-2 model. If you need fewer tools, look for smaller pack sizes of the same OB-2 specification.

What does the extra-sensitive cut type mean when I am working on live contacts?

The extra-sensitive cut removes the oxide layer and corrosion without producing debris, so you can clean energised contacts without risk of shorts or shocks.
