Acidic Soil Correction

Jonathan Green Mag-I-Cal Plus is a natural soil food formulated to rapidly raise pH in acidic lawns. It covers up to 15,000 square feet per bag. The product activates beneficial soil microbes to improve nutrient uptake. It also helps loosen heavy, compacted ground for better root development.

Existing Lawn Condition Check

Verify that your soil is actually acidic before applying this amendment. A simple pH test will confirm whether correction is needed. Do not use on neutral or alkaline soils as it will raise pH further. Ensure the lawn is accessible for even spreading equipment.

Build Integration

This granular amendment fits into a standard fertiliser spreader for broadcast application. It works alongside your regular lawn feeding programme to maximise fertiliser efficiency. The formula frees up locked nutrients already present in the soil. No specialised tools beyond a spreader are required.

Questions about this item

What does the 15,000 sq ft coverage mean for my lawn size?

The 15,000 sq ft figure is the maximum area one bag treats when spread at the recommended rate. Measure your lawn; if it is smaller you will use less product and store the remainder.

Does the 11355 Mag-I-Cal Plus bag include a spreader or must I buy one separately?

The bag contains only the soil food granules. A broadcast or drop spreader is not included and must be purchased separately if you do not already own one.

How do I choose between this acidic-soil formula and other Mag-I-Cal versions?

Select this 11355 product when a soil test shows pH below 7. It raises pH, loosens compacted ground and feeds microbes. Alkaline-soil versions lower pH instead.
