Replacement Battery for Dell XPS 11

This new 7.4V 40Wh lithium-ion battery replaces the original DGGGT part in Dell XPS 11 convertible laptops. It matches the factory voltage and capacity specifications for direct installation. The black casing fits the XPS 11, XPS11D and XPS11R chassis without modification. A twelve-month warranty covers the unit against defects.

Suitable for owners restoring a Dell XPS 11 series

This part suits users whose XPS 11, XPS11-1308T, XPS11-1508T, XPS11D or XPS11R battery no longer holds charge. It is not for owners of other Dell XPS models such as the XPS 13 or XPS 15, nor for anyone needing a higher-capacity pack than the original 40Wh design. Buyers requiring a different voltage or form factor should look elsewhere.

The 7.4V 40Wh rating and DGGGT part number decide

Only a battery rated at 7.4 volts and 40 watt-hours with the exact DGGGT part number will fit the XPS 11 series connector and bay. Verify the old battery label shows DGGGT before ordering. A different voltage or capacity will not work in these systems. The twelve-month warranty applies when the part number matches.

Questions about this item

Does the package include any tools or screws for fitting the DGGGT battery, or must they be sourced separately?

Only the 7.4 V 40 Wh battery is supplied; the Dell XPS 11 chassis uses proprietary screws and clips that are not included, so keep the original hardware or obtain a compatible driver set before starting the swap.

My XPS 11 shows part number XPS11D-1308T on the service tag — is this DGGGT unit the correct match?

Yes, the DGGGT replacement lists XPS11D-1308T, XPS11D-1508T, XPS11-1308T, XPS11-1508T, XPS11R-1508T and XPS11S as compatible models, so it covers your unit.

What runtime difference should I expect from the 40 Wh rating compared with the original cell in daily use?

The 40 Wh capacity matches the factory specification for the XPS 11 series, so a fresh DGGGT cell should restore the same web-browsing and video-playback endurance the laptop delivered when new.
