Solid brass mortise cylinder
The Ilco 7165FA2-03 is a solid brass mortise cylinder with a polished brass US3 finish. It measures 1" in length and uses a Segal SE1 keyway with a 5 pin tumbler mechanism. The cylinder is keyed different and designed for both indoor and outdoor installations.
Adams Rite Cam #2 compatibility
This cylinder replaces existing mortise cylinders that accept an Adams Rite Cam #2 and share the 1.150 x 32 UNS thread specification. The upgrade is worthwhile when the current cylinder face diameter matches 1.360 (34.5mm) and the keyway must remain Segal SE1 for existing key systems.
Thread and face constraints
The 1.150 x 32 UNS thread size and 1.360 (34.5mm) cylinder face diameter define the practical fit limits for this cylinder. Doors requiring a different thread pitch, face diameter, or cylinder length will not accept this model without modification.

Questions about this item
What thread size and cylinder face diameter does this 1" mortise cylinder require for the mortise lock body?
The cylinder uses a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread and a 1.360 inch (34.5 mm) face diameter, so the lock body must match both dimensions.
Which way must the Adams Rite cam #2 be oriented when threading the cylinder into the lock body?
Insert the key, turn it to retract the cam fully, then screw the cylinder in until the cam engages the lock's tailpiece; reversing the key before the cam seats is the common error.
When the original keys wear out, what keyway and pin count must a locksmith use to cut new ones?
New keys must be cut on a Segal SE1 blank for the 5-pin tumbler; the cylinder is keyed different, so each replacement key is unique to this unit.
