Solid brass mortise cylinder for standard doors
The Ilco 7185FA1-26D is a new solid brass mortise cylinder finished in US26D satin chrome. It measures 1-1/8 inches long and uses a Segal SE1 keyway with a five pin tumbler. The cylinder is keyed different so each unit operates on its own key. It suits residential and commercial doors that accept a standard mortise profile.
Threaded body with standard cam for wide fit
The cylinder body carries a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread and a 1.360 (34.5mm) diameter face. A Standard Cam #1 is fitted, and the design accepts other cams if the lock mechanism requires a different shape. These dimensions match the most common mortise lock preparations, allowing the cylinder to install in many existing lock bodies without modification.
Two keys included for immediate use
Each boxed cylinder ships with two cut keys for the unique keyed different combination. No additional programming or pinning is needed; the lock is ready to operate once installed. The solid brass construction resists corrosion on interior and exterior doors alike.

Questions about this item
What thread standard does the 7185 cylinder use, and what diameter does that limit the mortise pocket to?
The cylinder uses a 1.150 x 32 UNS thread, which requires a mortise pocket that accepts a 1.360 inch (34.5 mm) face diameter.
What physical dimensions and cam style must the door prep match for this mortise cylinder?
The door must accommodate a 1-1/8 inch cylinder length, a 1.360 inch face diameter, and a Standard Cam #1.
How is the cylinder installed, and which alignment step is commonly missed?
Thread the cylinder into the mortise body until the cam engages the lock mechanism, then tighten the set screw; the step often missed is rotating the cylinder so the Standard Cam #1 lines up with the latch bolt before securing it.
