SIMPLEX E5000 Electronic Lock

The SIMPLEX E5000 series provides keyless entry through a 12-button metal keypad. It fits standard cylindrical door preparations measuring 1-3/4 in to 2-1/4 in thick. The non-handed lever design works for left or right-hand doors. A Schlage C keyway cylinder supplies a mechanical backup option.

Satin Chrome Finish and Battery Power

The satin chrome coating resists wear in high-traffic areas. Solid cast construction supports the external dimensions of 8 7/8 in height by 3 3/8 in width. Four AA batteries deliver up to 180,000 cycles before replacement is needed. No wiring or external power source is required for operation.

Mechanical Override and Code Capacity

The lock manages access solely through the keypad and the physical key override. It does not support audit trails, scheduled access, or remote management features. Buyers needing multiple user codes with individual tracking or network integration should consider alternative systems. The key override remains the only fallback if batteries fail completely.

The lock is purely mechanical and battery-powered with no motor or fan, so it produces no audible noise or measurable heat during use.
