Chemical Preservation Bottle

The Kaiser accordion bottle stores photographic chemicals in a 550 to 1000 millilitre capacity. Collapsible walls let you press out excess air before sealing. This design targets darkroom users who need to keep developers and fixers fresh between sessions. Model 204198 ships new and ready for immediate use.

Oxidation Control Under Load

When the bottle is partially filled the accordion sides compress to match the liquid volume. Removing the headspace limits oxygen contact during extended storage periods. The chemicals therefore resist degradation longer than they would in a rigid container with trapped air. Consistent performance is maintained across multiple development runs.

Build and Daily Handling

The flexible body collapses flat when empty, reducing shelf footprint in a crowded darkroom. A wide mouth accepts funnels and measuring cups without spillage. The secure cap prevents leaks during transport to a sink or processing area. Opaque construction shields light-sensitive solutions from ambient exposure.

Questions about this item

How much does the accordion bottle shrink to keep chemicals from oxidising during long daily sessions?

The walls collapse to push out excess air, minimising oxidation and extending the storage life of the chemicals inside.

What extra fittings or caps are required to seal the 550-1000ml bottle once it is compressed?

The bottle includes its own closure; no additional caps or fittings are needed to seal it after pressing the accordion walls together.

Will the 204198 bottle work with the darkroom trays and measuring graduates I already use?

Yes, it stores standard photo chemicals and fits normal darkroom workflows alongside existing trays and graduates.
