Compact Area Light

The Kaito AL01 is a rechargeable LED lantern with a 3200 mAh battery and IP65 waterproof rating. It suits campers, hikers and anyone needing a portable light for tents, power outages or emergency kits. A USB-C port lets the unit double as a power bank for phones or other small devices.

Replaces Bulkier Lanterns

At 4.06 x 1.54 x 1.96 inches and 0.4 lb it takes the place of larger gas or battery lanterns that weigh several pounds. The jump is worth it when pack space and weight matter more than maximum output, and when a 380 lumen maximum across five brightness levels covers the task.

Fits in Any Pack

The light clips to tent loops, stands on a flat surface or hangs from its built-in hook, so no extra mounts are required. Motion-sensing mode activates automatically for night-time trips, while the SOS and red-light modes preserve night vision. A two-hour charge delivers up to 48 hours on the lowest setting, freeing you from carrying spare cells.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the AL01 Area Light so I can check if it fits in my pack?

The unit measures 4.06 x 1.54 x 1.96 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 0.4 lb, making it compact enough for most backpack pockets.

How do I attach the light to a tent or surface, and what step do users often miss?

Use the built-in clip-on base to secure it to tent fabric, a belt, or a branch; the step often missed is pressing the mode button to activate the motion-sensing function after mounting.

How long will the internal 3200mAh battery last before it needs replacing?

The sealed lithium cell is rated for up to 48 hours of runtime per charge at the lowest setting; as a non-user-replaceable pack, the whole unit is replaced when the battery no longer holds sufficient charge.
