System requirements and performance

Minimum specs call for a 64-bit Windows 7, 8 or 10 system with a 2.1 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB RAM and a GTX 460 2 GB graphics card. Recommended specs raise the bar to a Core i7, 8 GB RAM and a GTX 970 or better for smoother play.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Shadows: Awakening DLC using the Steam code?

Redeem the Steam code in the Steam client, then ensure the base game is installed; the DLC will download and appear in the game's properties under the DLC tab.

Will this DLC require any future updates or separate purchases to remain playable?

No additional purchases are needed; the DLC receives updates automatically through Steam alongside the base game.

Which hardware limit will I hit first when running this DLC at recommended settings for long sessions?

The GPU is the first bottleneck; the recommended spec lists a GTX 970 or better, so sustained load will stress graphics memory before CPU or RAM limits appear.
