Studio-grade desktop sound

The Kanto ORA4MW is a pair of bi-amplified Class-D speakers delivering 140 W of total DSP-tuned power. Each unit combines a 4-inch aluminium concave cone woofer with a 3/4-inch silk dome tweeter. The system covers 60 Hz to 22 kHz and is magnetically shielded for desktop placement near sensitive equipment.

Three wired and wireless inputs

USB-C provides direct digital audio from a computer, Bluetooth 5.0 handles phone or smart-home streaming, and an RCA jack accepts analogue sources. Connecting a subwoofer via the sub-out triggers an automatic 80 Hz crossover, shifting bass to the sub and letting the speakers focus on mid and high frequencies with lower distortion.

Limits of the built-in amplification

Each tweeter runs at 12 W RMS and each woofer at 23 W RMS, so maximum clean output is bounded by those amplifier ratings. The automatic high-pass filter engages only when a subwoofer is detected; without one the speakers must reproduce the full range down to 60 Hz. AC input accepts 100 V to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz for worldwide use.

Questions about this item

Will the 4 woofers or silk-dome tweeters need routine replacement after extended use?

The drivers are built into the sealed cabinets and have no user-serviceable parts; no scheduled replacement is required.

What limits output first when the speakers run at high volume for hours?

The built-in DSP and bi-amplified Class-D stages protect the 12 W tweeters and 23 W woofers, so thermal protection engages before distortion becomes audible.

How much heat or fan noise appears after a full day of continuous playback?

The Class-D design runs cool with no internal fan, so the cabinets stay near room temperature and add no audible noise during all-day use.
