Suited For Live Vocals And Speech

This microphone suits singers, speakers and karaoke users who need a straightforward dynamic capsule with a fixed cable length. Buyers who require a wireless system, a shorter cable run or a different connector type should look at other options.

Frequency Response 80Hz To 11kHz

The specified frequency response runs from 80Hz to 11kHz with a sensitivity of -72dB +/-3dB at 1kHz and an output impedance of 620ohm +30% at 1kHz. These figures determine how the microphone captures voice and whether it matches your mixer or amplifier requirements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the M189 is working correctly after connecting it?

Plug the 9.8ft cord into the 1/4 to XLR male connector and speak into the capsule; a clear signal at the mixer or PA with no distortion shows the dynamic element and cord are functioning.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes the M189 dynamic microphone and its detachable 9.8ft cord with 1/4 to XLR male connector; you will need to provide a mixer, amplifier or PA system with a matching input.

Which version of the M189 should I choose for my setup?

Only one version is offered — the M189 with 9.8ft detachable cord, 80Hz-11kHz frequency response, -72dB sensitivity and 620ohm output impedance — so select it if those specifications suit your application.
