  • Connects to AWS, Azure and Google cloud servers
  • Citrix-ready for virtual desktop environments
  • Switch between server and local Android desktop
  • Windows-style file explorer for familiar navigation

Thin-client label printer for managed environments

The Kaser KSR-YF840 combines a barcode label printer with a thin-client platform that runs Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol and Citrix sessions. It targets operations that want to print labels directly from a central server while keeping local USB peripheral support for scanners or storage.

RDP and cloud sessions with local USB pass-through

The device handles RDP connections to private intranet servers and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google. Users can switch between the remote desktop and the local Android desktop, and a Windows-like file explorer gives access to files on attached USB drives or printers without leaving the session.

Compact build with local peripheral ports

The unit integrates the print engine and client hardware in a single chassis, so counter space is saved and cable runs are reduced. USB ports on the body allow keyboards, scanners or flash drives to be used immediately, while the Android desktop provides a fallback interface when the network is unavailable.

Questions about this item

Will the KSR-YF840 work with my existing USB barcode scanner and label rolls?

The KSR-YF840 supports local USB peripherals, so a USB barcode scanner can be connected directly. Standard label rolls that match the printer’s media specifications will feed correctly.

How can I confirm the KSR-YF840 is printing correctly after I connect it to my network?

Send a test label from the Windows-like file explorer or your POS application; a clean, aligned barcode on the first label shows the KSR-YF840 is operating as intended.

Does the KSR-YF840 box include a power adapter and USB cable, or must I buy them separately?

The KSR-YF840 ships with the printer unit, a power adapter and a USB cable; no extra cables are required for basic wired operation.
