Compatible radios and battery models

This two-pack supplies Li-Ion replacements rated at 3.6 V and 1650 mAh for a long list of Motorola TalkAbout handsets. The cells match original part numbers such as 53615, HKNN4002 and PMNN4477, fitting radios from the EM, FV, T and MR series without modification.

Charging behaviour under load

The LTD2 charger powers two batteries simultaneously at 800 mA each from a 5 V 2-3 A source. An intelligent LED display shows real-time status and remaining capacity so operators can monitor progress during extended field use.

USB interface limits

Input options are Micro-USB and USB Type-C, both capped at 5 V. The charger outputs 8.4 V or 4.2 V depending on cell count, and the fixed 800 mA per slot means larger packs will take proportionally longer to reach full charge.

Questions about this item

How hot or noisy does the LTD2 charger get when it runs all day?

The LTD2 charger has no fan and no moving parts, so it stays silent. It only warms slightly while delivering 800 mA to each battery, and the 5 V 2–3 A input keeps power draw modest.

What must I already own to power the LTD2 charger?

You need any USB power source that can supply 5 V at 2–3 A — such as a phone charger, power bank or laptop port — plus the included Micro-USB cable or your own Type-C cable.

Will these 1650 mAh 3.6 V Ni-MH batteries work in my older Motorola TalkAbout T4800?

Yes. The batteries replace Motorola part numbers 53615, 1532 and 56315, which are listed as compatible with the T4800 and many other TalkAbout models.
