Two-pack BP-950G EXP for RED KOMODO

The Kastar BP-950G EXP pack contains two lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.4 V and 7 000 mAh each. They are built as direct replacements for the RED KOMODO 6K digital cinema camera. Each cell delivers 51.8 Wh and includes four LEDs that show remaining charge at a glance.

Suits solo operators; not for hot-swap rigs

The Type-C input accepts 5 V 3 A or 9 V 2 A adapters so a single charger can top up both packs on location. The 5 V 2.5 A output lets one battery act as a power bank for accessories. Teams needing continuous hot-swap operation will want a dedicated plate charger instead.

51.8 Wh capacity per cell

At 51.8 Wh each, the pair stays well under typical air-transport limits for carry-on luggage. This figure decides whether the pack meets your flight regulations and runtime expectations for the KOMODO 6K.

Questions about this item

Does the BP-950G EXP battery pack fit inside the RED KOMODO 6K battery compartment?

Yes, these 3 by 2 by 2 inch BP-950G EXP packs are built to the RED KOMODO 6K form factor and slide directly into the camera’s native battery slot.

How do I charge the BP-950G EXP batteries and what is the common mistake?

Connect a USB-C cable to the battery’s Type-C port using a 5 volt 3 amp or 9 volt 2 amp adapter; the step users miss is confirming the charger negotiates the higher voltage before walking away.

When will the BP-950G EXP cells need replacing and how can I tell?

Expect several hundred cycles; when run-time drops noticeably or the four on-battery LEDs no longer show a full charge after a normal cycle, it is time for a fresh pair.
