This Kastar kit supplies two lithium-ion NP-FH50 packs rated at 7.4 V and 1200 mAh each, plus a compact wall charger. It is built for owners of Sony Handycam, Cyber-shot and Alpha models that accept the NP-FH series, giving a ready spare for long shoots or travel.

Plug-in charger with LED status

The charger folds its flat pins for storage and accepts 100–240 V AC input worldwide. A red LED shows charging in progress; green means standby or full charge. The only common issue is forgetting to seat the battery fully so the contacts align before the light turns red.

Limited to NP-FH compatible Sony gear

The charger outputs 8.4 V at 600 mA, so it only works with NP-FH30, NP-FH40, NP-FH50, NP-FH70 and NP-FH100 cells. It cannot charge other chemistries, larger broadcast packs or USB-C devices, and it does not support in-camera charging.
