Ready-to-shoot power kit

This four-battery pack with a matching quadruple charger is built for Canon VIXIA camcorder owners who want spare cells on hand. Each lithium-ion unit delivers 7.4 V and 2200 mAh for 16.3 Wh of capacity. The bundle suits event videographers, travel shooters and anyone who cannot pause to recharge mid-session.

Compact charger with dual-input flexibility

The charger measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches and powers up to four batteries simultaneously through Micro-USB or Type-C inputs, supplied with a Type-C cable. An intelligent display shows real-time charge status and remaining capacity per slot. Swappable plates let the same dock handle other Canon BP-series cells when your kit changes.

800 mA per slot for two batteries

When one or two cells are docked the charger supplies 8.4 V at 800 mA per channel; with three or four it drops to 500 mA each. This single output figure determines how quickly depleted packs return to full power. Buyers needing faster top-ups for more than two batteries at once should note the reduced current.

Questions about this item

What does the BP-819 battery's 7.4V 2200mAh capacity mean for my Canon VIXIA HF M40 camcorder?

The 7.4V 2200mAh (16.3 Wh) lithium-ion cells match the original BP-819 specification, so each battery delivers the same voltage and runtime as Canon's pack in your HF M40.

Will the quadruple charger fit on my desk and accept the four BP-819 packs at once?

The charger measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches and holds four BP-819 batteries simultaneously in its dedicated slots.

How do I power the charger correctly using the Type-C cable so all four batteries charge?

Connect the supplied Type-C cable to a 5V 2-3A (15W) USB source; the charger then outputs 8.4V at 800mA for one or two batteries, or 500mA each when three or four are inserted.
