Kastar A-12 Replacement Battery

The Kastar A-12 is a 3.7V 7000mAh lithium-ion power pack built to replace the original cell in Arlo Essential Wire-Free Video Doorbell units and several compatible battery models. It delivers 25.9 Wh of capacity for extended operation between charges.

Easy Micro-USB Charging

The battery charges through a standard Micro-USB cable so no proprietary dock is required. Built-in circuitry guards against over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating to protect both the cell and the doorbell.

Not for Multi-Cell Systems

This single 3.7V pack cannot power devices that need a higher voltage string or multiple cells in series. It also lacks the form factor for doorbell models that use a different physical battery shape or connector.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Kastar A-12 battery is charging correctly after installing it in my Arlo Essential Wire-Free Video Doorbell?

The doorbell's app or LED indicator will show the charging status; the battery includes over-charge protection so it stops drawing current automatically when full.

What comes in the package and what extra items are needed to use the Kastar A-12 7000mAh battery?

The pack contains one 3.7V lithium-ion battery; a Micro-USB cable is required for charging and is not included.

Which capacity should I choose for the Arlo VMA2400 doorbell — the 7000mAh version or a lower one?

Only the 7000mAh 25.9Wh model is listed for the A-12 part number, so select this single capacity for compatible Arlo doorbells.
