Two-pack BL-5B lithium-ion cells

Two 3.7 V 890 mAh batteries and a smart LCD charger arrive in a single pack. The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 V at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers 4.2 V at 600 mA. Red and green LEDs show charging status at a glance.

Charger limited to 600 mA output per cycle

Each cell reaches full charge at the fixed 600 mA rate, so depleted packs need several hours. The foldable flat-pin plug works on 100 to 240 V mains but there is no fast-charge mode or multi-bay simultaneous charging.

Replaces single BL-5B packs for SVP

Owners of listed SVP CyberSnap, DC-12V or Vivitar ViviCam models gain a ready spare without hunting for proprietary cells. The jump is worth it when a second battery keeps a compact camera shooting through a full day.

Questions about this item

Is the 890 mAh figure the total for both cells or for each BL-5B battery?

Each BL-5B cell is rated at 890 mAh and 3.7 V, giving 4.26 Wh per battery; the pack simply contains two identical units.

What does the 600 mA charger output mean for a flat 890 mAh battery?

At 600 mA the charger delivers roughly a 1.5-hour charge cycle for a fully depleted 890 mAh cell before the green LED shows full.

Does the AC 100-240 V input let me use the charger abroad without a converter?

Yes — the input range covers 100 to 240 V at 50-60 Hz, so only a plug adapter is needed for different wall sockets.
