Two-battery kit with foldable wall charger

This Kastar kit supplies two 7.4 V lithium-ion BP-511A cells and a compact AC charger. Each battery stores 2600 mAh and 19.24 Wh, matching the voltage and capacity Canon specified for the original packs. The charger accepts 100–240 V mains and delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA.

Owners of listed Canon EOS, PowerShot.

Photographers using EOS 5D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D or 50D bodies, PowerShot G1–G6 and Pro series, Optura 10–200MC, or ZR10–30MC camcorders can swap depleted originals directly. Videographers needing higher-capacity cells or USB-C charging should consider other solutions.

Simple drop-in replacement with LED status

Insert a battery into the charger, plug the foldable flat pins into a wall outlet and watch the red LED turn green when full. No firmware updates or cable management are required. The only common issue is forgetting to seat the contacts fully, which leaves the light red indefinitely.
