Two-pack replacement batteries

Integrated protection guards against over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating. The pack works with Canon CG-700 chargers and fits numerous VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorders.

For owners of listed Canon camcorders

Videographers using compatible VIXIA or LEGRIA models gain a ready spare without buying original packs. Users whose cameras require a different voltage, chemistry or form factor should look elsewhere. The cells are not suitable for devices that need proprietary communication chips or higher capacity ratings.

Check your camera and charger model

Verify that your camcorder appears in the compatible model list and that you charge with a Canon CG-700 or equivalent charger. Confirm the battery compartment accepts the stated dimensions before ordering.

Questions about this item

Which Canon charger do I need to recharge these Kastar BP-718 batteries?

The batteries are compatible with the Canon CG-700 charger listed in the specifications.

Will the BP-718 pack work in my older Canon VIXIA HF R30 camcorder?

Yes, the HF R30 is listed among the compatible camera models for these 3.7 V 1900 mAh cells.

How can I confirm the batteries are charging correctly after I insert them?

The built-in protection circuit prevents over-charge and over-heating, so the CG-700 charger indicator will show normal progress when the cells are healthy.
