Replacement power kit

This pack supplies two lithium-ion BP-718 cells and a compact LTD2 dual charger for Canon VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorders. Each cell stores 7.1 Wh at 3.7 V with a 1900 mAh rating. The charger accepts Micro-USB or Type-C input at 5 V and can replenish both batteries together.

Travel shooters and backup seekers

Videographers who carry a compatible Canon camcorder gain a lightweight spare set that fits in a small bag. Users whose camera requires a different battery form factor or a higher voltage platform should look elsewhere.

Steady output on long sessions

The charger delivers 8.4 V at 800 mA per slot whether one or two cells are inserted, so capacity recovers at a constant rate during extended shoots. An LCD panel shows real-time charge level for each battery.

Questions about this item

Which Canon camcorder models accept the BP-718 batteries in this kit?

The BP-718 cells fit the VIXIA HF R30, R32, R36, R37, R38, R40, R42, R50, R52, R60, R62, R70, R72, R80, R82, R300, R400, R500, R600, R700, R800 and matching LEGRIA models listed.

Can I power the LTD2 charger from an older 5 V 1 A phone adapter?

The charger draws up to 15 W and needs 5 V at 2–3 A, so a 1 A adapter will not supply enough current for reliable dual-bay charging.

How do I confirm both batteries are charging correctly on the LTD2?

The LCD shows independent status and capacity read-outs for each bay; when both display full bars the two 1900 mAh packs are ready.
