The charger powers both cells simultaneously and shows capacity on an LED display. It accepts 5 V at 2-3 A and delivers 8.4 V at 800 mA per slot.

BP-718 cell compatibility

The BP-718 cells replace Canon BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 packs and fit the CG-700 charger. They work with VIXIA HF R30, R32, R36, R37, R38, R40, R42, R50, R52, R60, R62, R70, R72, R80, R82, R300, R400, R500, R600, R700 and R800 models as well as LEGRIA HF M36, M38, M46, M52, M56, M66, M68, M76, M78, M86, M88 and M306 camcorders.

Steady charge under continuous use

The dual charger maintains 800 mA output per bay while both batteries are seated, so a full cycle completes without current taper. The LED readout lets you confirm each cell reaches full capacity before the next shoot. Users who need more than two charged packs at once will need an additional charger.
