BP-727 twin pack and USB charger

This set supplies two 3.7 V lithium-ion BP-727 batteries rated at 3200 mAh and 11.84 Wh each, plus a dual-slot LTD2 charger. It targets owners of Canon VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorders who want spare power for long shoots without relying on the original CG-700 charger.

Capacity and headroom

Each battery delivers 3200 mAh, giving extended recording time on compatible HF R-series and HF M-series models. The charger handles two cells simultaneously at 800 mA per slot, so a full recharge cycle takes longer than single-bay units but keeps both spares ready for multi-day events.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The charger draws up to 15 W from a 5 V 2–3 A USB source via Micro-USB or Type-C and outputs 4.2 V per bay. It runs silently with no moving parts, and the LCD panel shows charge status without adding audible noise or noticeable heat during normal indoor use.
