Four-battery pack for Canon camcorders

The Kastar BP-727 kit supplies four lithium-ion cells rated at 3200 mAh and 11.84 Wh each, plus a compact AC wall charger. It fits a long list of Canon VIXIA and LEGRIA models including the HF M68, HF M76, HF M78, HF M86 and HF M88, replacing the original BP-727, BP-718 and BP-709 packs.

Sustained recording with foldable-plug charger

Each cell delivers 3.7 V and the charger accepts 100 to 240 V input, outputting 4.2 V at 600 mA for a steady top-up. A red LED shows active charging and a green LED signals standby or full charge, so you can monitor status during extended shoots without guessing. The foldable flat pins keep the adapter slim in a gear bag.

Replaces single OEM batteries for multi-day trips

Swapping one factory battery for this four-pack lets you rotate cells across a full day of events, weddings or travel footage without hunting for outlets. The jump is worth it when a single charge cannot cover the session length you face. Videographers who need only one spare or who use cameras outside the listed compatibility should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the Kastar BP-727 charger run hot or make noise when charging four batteries all day?

The charger outputs DC 4.2V at 600mA and accepts AC 100~240V input, so it draws little power and stays cool with no fan noise.

What must I already own for the Kastar BP-727 pack to work with my Canon camcorder?

You need a Canon camcorder that accepts BP-727, BP-718 or BP-709 batteries, such as the VIXIA HF R30, HF R400, LEGRIA HF M68 or HF M88.

Will the Kastar BP-727 batteries work alongside my older Canon BP-709 cells in the same camcorder?

Yes, the BP-727, BP-718 and BP-709 are all listed as compatible, so you can mix them in supported VIXIA or LEGRIA models.
