Kastar BP-808 battery and quadruple charger

The Kastar BP-808 set supplies a 7.4 V lithium-ion battery rated at 1500 mAh and 11.1 Wh. The bundle includes one battery and a compact charger that accepts four cells simultaneously. It is aimed at owners of compatible Canon VIXIA camcorders who need a spare power source and a way to charge multiple packs from a single USB connection.

Charger output scales

When one or two batteries are docked the charger delivers 8.4 V at 800 mA per slot; with three or four batteries the current drops to 500 mA each. The unit draws 5 V at 2–3 A (15 W) from either a Micro-USB or USB-C source and shows charge status and remaining capacity on its built-in display. This behaviour means a full set of four takes longer per cell than a single battery.

Check your camcorder model

The battery replaces Canon BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 packs and works with the listed VIXIA HF and HF S-series models. You must provide a USB charger or power bank capable of supplying 5 V at 2–3 A for the quad charger to operate at its rated 15 W input. No AC adapter or additional charging plates are included in this pack.
