Replacement battery and charger kit

The Kastar BP-808 kit supplies a 1500 mAh lithium-ion cell and a matching AC wall charger for compatible Canon camcorders. It replaces the original BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 or BP-827 batteries and works with the Canon CG-800 charger. The bundle suits owners of listed VIXIA, HF, HG, FS and XA10 models who need a spare power source.

1500 mAh capacity at 7.4 V

The battery stores 11.1 Wh at a nominal 7.4 V, delivering the same voltage and capacity as the Canon originals. The charger accepts 100 to 240 V AC input and provides 8.4 V DC at 600 mA output. A foldable flat plug makes the adapter compact for travel.

Steady charge current prevents heat buildup

The 600 mA charge rate fills the 1500 mAh cell in roughly two and a half hours without rapid thermal rise. LED indicators show red while charging and green at standby or full charge, so the user can confirm completion at a glance. The moderate current helps maintain cell health over repeated cycles.

What does the charger's 8.4 V 600 mA output mean for charge speed?

The AC wall charger delivers up to 600 mA at 8.4 V, fully charging the 1500 mAh pack in roughly three hours from empty.

Will the foldable flat plug fit a standard UK wall socket without an adapter?

The charger accepts 100–240 V AC input, but the supplied foldable flat pins are designed for North American outlets; a UK travel adapter is required.
