Kastar BP-808 Battery and Quadruple Charger Kit

This kit includes one 1500mAh lithium-ion battery and a charger that powers four batteries at once. It is designed for photographers and videographers who use Canon camcorders compatible with the BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 or BP-827 series. The bundle suits anyone needing extra runtime and a way to charge multiple packs from a single outlet.

USB Input Limits and Charge Rates

The charger draws 5V at 2 to 3A through Micro-USB or USB-C ports, with a maximum input of 15W. When one or two batteries are connected, each receives 8.4V at 800mA; with three or four batteries the rate drops to 500mA per slot. Total charging time therefore increases as more cells are inserted, and the 15W ceiling caps the combined throughput.

Compatibility Checks Before Buying

Verify that your camcorder accepts a 7.4V pack rated at 11.1Wh and that the physical dimensions of 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches fit the battery compartment. Confirm you have a USB power source able to supply at least 5V 2A for reasonable charge speeds. The charger ships with a USB-C cable but no wall adapter, so an appropriate USB power brick is required.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the single-battery pack or a multi-battery bundle?

The listed pack contains one 1500mAh battery and a charger that can handle four batteries at once, so you can add more cells later without buying another charger.

What does the 1500mAh rating actually deliver in my camcorder?

At 7.4V the cell stores 11.1Wh, giving roughly one full charge cycle for compatible Canon models before it needs to return to the charger.

How do the Micro-USB and Type-C inputs affect charging speed when all four slots are full?

With a 5V 2-3A supply the charger outputs 800mA to one or two batteries and 500mA each to three or four, so total charge time rises as more cells are added.
