Built-in protection circuits

Canon CG-800 charger compatibility

The batteries are designed to charge in the Canon CG-800 charger that originally shipped with the supported camcorders. They will not charge from USB or other power sources unless a compatible CG-800 unit is used. Users without access to that charger will need to obtain one separately.
