Replacement battery and dual USB charger

This pack supplies one 7.4 V lithium-ion cell rated at 1500 mAh and 11.1 Wh together with an LTD2 charger that accepts Micro-USB or USB-C input. It replaces Canon BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 packs and works with a long list of VIXIA, HF, HG, FS and XA camcorders. The charger can handle two batteries simultaneously.

Installing the battery and using the charger

Slide the battery into the camcorder until it clicks, then connect the charger to a 5 V 2–3 A USB source using the included Micro-USB cable or a Type-C lead. The LCD shows charging status and capacity for each bay. A common issue is attempting to charge from a low-current port, which slows or halts the process.

Check your camcorder and power source

Verify that your model appears in the compatible list covering VIXIA HF10, HF11, HF20, HF21, HF100, HF200, HG20, HG21, HG30, XA10 and the FS, HF G, HF M, HF S series. Ensure you have a USB power adapter or bank capable of 5 V at 2 A or more; lower-output ports will not drive the dual-bay charger at full speed.
