Replacement battery and dual charger for Canon

This pack contains one lithium-ion battery rated at 1500 mAh and 11.1 Wh, plus an LCD USB charger that can charge two batteries simultaneously. It replaces Canon BP-808 and BP-809 cells and works with a long list of VIXIA, HF, FS and XA camcorders. The charger accepts Micro-USB or Type-C input at 5 V and includes a Micro-USB cable.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The charger operates from a 5 V 2–3 A source with a maximum input of 15 W and delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot whether one or two batteries are fitted. No active cooling is used so operation is silent. The lithium-ion cells generate minimal heat during typical charge cycles.

How it fits into a build

The unit frees you from proprietary AC adapters by using common USB power sources such as power banks or laptop ports. Interchangeable plates let the same charger handle other Canon battery types when needed. Buyers who need more than one spare battery or a faster charge rate will need additional packs or a higher-current charger.

Questions about this item

How do I install the BP-808 battery and set up the LTD2 charger for the first time?

Insert the BP-808 into a Canon VIXIA HF M31 or listed camcorder; connect the LTD2 charger via Micro-USB or Type-C to a 5V 2-3A source, then place the battery on the plate — the LCD shows charging status.

What maintenance or replacement will the BP-808 Li-Ion 1500mAh 11.1Wh battery need later?

The 7.4V lithium-ion cell degrades over cycles; replace it when run-time drops below your needs — no calibration or fluid service is required.

What limit appears first during sustained charging of two batteries on the LTD2 dual charger?

The 800mA per-slot output caps each battery at 800mA, so simultaneous charging takes longer than a single-battery session.
