BP-819 battery and quadruple charger kit

This pack supplies one 7.4 V 2200 mAh lithium-ion battery plus a compact charger that can replenish up to four compatible cells simultaneously. It is aimed at owners of Canon VIXIA HF and HG series camcorders who need spare power for long shoots.

Charger limited to 5 V USB input

The unit draws 5 V at 2–3 A through either Micro-USB or USB-C and distributes 8.4 V at 800 mA for one or two batteries, dropping to 500 mA when three or four are inserted. No mains adapter is included, so a suitable USB power source must be provided separately.

Single 16.3 Wh BP-819 cell included per pack

Each purchase delivers exactly one 2200 mAh battery rated at 16.3 Wh, compatible with Canon BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 packs. Users requiring multiple spares must order additional packs.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the BP-819 battery or a BP-809/BP-827 for my Canon camcorder?

The included battery is the BP-819 rated at 2200 mAh and 16.3 Wh; the charger also accepts BP-809 and BP-827 packs so you can charge whichever model your camcorder requires.

What does the 16.3 Wh rating mean for actual recording time in my VIXIA?

At 7.4 V and 2200 mAh the pack stores 16.3 Wh; real recording time depends on the camcorder model and settings but the capacity matches the original Canon BP-819 specification.

How does the USB-C and Micro-USB input affect charging speed when four batteries are docked?

The charger draws 5 V at 2–3 A (15 W) via USB-C or Micro-USB and delivers 8.4 V at 500 mA per slot when all four bays are occupied.
