Four-Pack Li-Ion Replacements

This four-pack supplies four Kastar BP-820 lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.4V, 2050mAh and 15.2Wh each. They are built as direct replacements for the Canon BP-820 and BP-828 packs used in a wide range of Canon XA, XF and VIXIA camcorders. The cells carry UL1642 and CE certification and include over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating protection circuits.

Video Professionals and Multi-Camera Shoots

The pack suits operators who need several spare cells for long recording sessions, multi-camera setups or extended location work without mains power. Buyers who only need a single spare battery or who use cameras that accept a different Canon battery form factor will not benefit from this quantity.

7.4V 2050mAh 15.2Wh Li-Ion Chemistry

Each cell delivers 7.4 volts, 2050 milliampere-hours and 15.2 watt-hours in the Canon BP-820/BP-828 form factor. This capacity determines how long the camcorder can run between charges and is the key figure to verify against the original equipment specification.

Questions about this item

Does the BP-820 pack fit the Canon XA10 and XF400 camcorders?

Yes, the BP-820 batteries are compatible with Canon XA10, XA11, XA15, XA20, XA25, XA30, XA35, XA40, XA45, XA50, XA55, XF400 and XF405 models.

How do I charge the four BP-820 batteries, and what step is often missed?

Use a Canon CG-800 charger; insert each battery fully until it clicks, as partial seating prevents charging.

Replace when run time drops noticeably or the pack no longer holds a full 15.2 Wh charge after a complete cycle.
