What this kit powers

Two 7.4 V lithium-ion cells rated at 3500 mAh each supply 25.9 Wh per battery. The pair works with a long list of Canon camcorders from the ES, GL, MV, Optura, Vistura, UC, XF, XH and XL series.

Charging limits to expect

The LTD2 dual charger accepts 5 V at 2-3 A through Micro-USB or USB-C and delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot. Both batteries charge simultaneously, but the fixed current means a full cycle takes several hours.

Check your camcorder and power source

Confirm your model appears in the compatible list before ordering. You will need a 5 V USB supply capable of at least 2 A; the box includes only a Micro-USB cable, so a USB-C cable must be provided separately if that port is preferred.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 3500mAh pack or a lower-capacity option?

The 3500mAh BP-915G cells give longer run-time than the 911, 914, 925, 930, 935, 945, 950, 955, 970 or 975 series, while still fitting the same Canon camcorder models.

What does the 25.9 Wh rating mean for actual shooting time?

At 7.4 V the 25.9 Wh pack stores enough energy for roughly 3500 mAh of draw, so a typical camcorder drawing 1-2 A will run for about two to three hours per battery.

How fast does the USB-C or Micro-USB input charge the batteries?

The LTD2 charger accepts 5 V at 2-3 A (15 W max) and delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot, so two batteries charge simultaneously in about four to five hours from a standard USB power source.
