Kastar BP-915G battery and charger kit

This kit supplies a 25.9 Wh lithium-ion battery and a matching AC wall charger. The 3500 mAh cell operates at 7.4 V and replaces Canon BP-915G and BP-911 series packs. It fits a long list of Canon camcorders including EOS C500, XF300 and GL2 models.

Sustained load performance

The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 V at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers DC 4.2 V at 600 mA. A red LED shows active charging while a green LED signals standby or full charge. The foldable flat plug keeps the adapter compact during transport and storage.

Installation and common issues

Insert the battery into the camcorder until it clicks, then connect the charger to mains power. The flat pins fold out for use and fold back for packing. Buyers who need a multi-bay charger or simultaneous charging of several packs cannot do so with this single-bay unit.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the AC charger produce when left plugged in all day?

The charger runs silently with no fan and draws 600 mA at 4.2 V, so it stays cool during continuous use.

What must I already own for the BP-915G battery to power my camcorder?

You need a Canon camera that accepts BP-915G or compatible BP-911, BP-914, BP-930, BP-945, BP-950, BP-955, BP-970 or BP-975 series batteries.

Will the foldable-plug charger work with older Canon models like the XL-1 or GL2?

Yes — the charger accepts 100–240 V AC and charges any listed BP-series pack used in those legacy cameras.
