Dual D-Tap fast charger

The Kastar BP-A100 D-Tap charger accepts two D-Tap equipped batteries simultaneously. It serves camera operators who power Canon Cinema EOS bodies such as the C200, C300 Mark II, C300 Mark III, C500 Mark II, C70, C700 PL and XF605 or XF705 units. The unit also supports Sony BP-U series and V-Mount or Anton Bauer Gold Mount packs that present a D-Tap input. No battery is included in the pack.

Sustained-load behaviour

An on-board MCU monitors each channel and halts current flow when it detects over-voltage, short-circuit or over-temperature conditions. Green LEDs indicate standby or full charge while red shows active charging. This protection prevents overcharge and deep-discharge cycles during extended studio or location sessions.

Deciding specification

The single decisive detail is the D-Tap interface: only batteries fitted with a D-Tap socket can be charged. Operators whose packs use a different connector will need a separate adapter or charger.
