Kastar BP-150W V-Mount Kit

The Kastar BP-150W kit provides a V-Mount battery and compact charger with D-Tap output for Sony professional monitors and cameras. It accepts worldwide AC input from 110 to 240 volts and delivers 16.8 volts at 3.0 amps. An internal MCU stops charging on over-voltage, short circuit or overheat. Green and red LEDs show standby and charging status.

For V-Mount monitor operators

This kit suits users powering Sony PVM-740, PVM-8040, PVM-8042Q, PVM-8045Q, PVM-9040ME or PVM-9042QM monitors and compatible camcorders such as PMW-F5, PMW-F55 or PXW-Z750. It also charges listed Sony BP-series batteries including BP-90, BP-95W, BP-150W and BP-190W. Buyers needing Gold-Mount plates or batteries with stated capacity should look elsewhere.

16.8 V 3.0 A charger output

The charger supplies 16.8 volts at 3.0 amps, which determines charge speed for every compatible V-Mount pack in the list. This fixed output is the single specification that decides whether the unit matches the power requirements of the target monitor or camera system.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the charger is operating correctly once connected?

The charger shows a green light on standby and a red light while charging; the built-in MCU stops output automatically if it detects improper voltage, a short circuit or overheating.

What items are included and what must be purchased separately?

The kit supplies one V-mount charger and one BP-150W battery; compatible Sony batteries such as the BP-95W or BP-190W and cameras like the PMW-F5 or PVM-8040 are sold separately.

Which battery capacity should I select for longer run-time on a PVM-8045Q?

Choose the higher-capacity BP-190W over the BP-150W or BP-95W for extended operation on the PVM-8045Q monitor.
