Four BP718 batteries and charger

This pack supplies four lithium-ion BP718 batteries rated at 3.7 volts and 1900 milliampere-hours each, plus a single AC wall charger. It is intended for owners of compatible Canon VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorders who want spare cells for longer recording sessions.

Charger input and LED status

The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and delivers DC 4.2 volts at 600 milliamps. A red LED shows charging is active; a green LED indicates standby or full charge. The foldable flat plug keeps the unit compact for transport.

Battery compatibility and build fit

Each cell matches Canon BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 specifications and works with the CG-700 charger. The four-battery bundle lets you rotate cells without carrying a second charger, while the wide-voltage input removes the need for a travel adapter. Buyers needing higher-capacity cells or a multi-bay charger will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

How do I install the BP718 batteries and what step is often missed?

Insert each 3.7V 1900mAh pack into the camera battery compartment until it clicks, then place the battery on the charger with the foldable flat plug connected to 100-240V AC; the step often missed is waiting for the green LED before first use.

What maintenance or replacement will the BP718 pack need later?

The four lithium-ion cells will gradually lose capacity after repeated cycles; plan to replace them when run-time drops noticeably, typically after several hundred charge cycles.

What limit appears first during sustained charging of all four BP718 batteries?

The AC wall charger delivers 4.2V at 600mA, so charging four 7.1Wh packs sequentially is limited by the single 600mA output current.
