Kastar BP718 AC Wall Charter

This Kastar BP718 AC wall charger powers Canon BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 lithium-ion batteries used in VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorders. The foldable flat plug keeps the unit compact for travel or desktop use. A red LED shows charging while green signals standby or full charge.

100-240V AC input with 600mA DC output

The charger accepts worldwide mains voltage from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz. Its fixed 4.2 volt, 600 milliamp DC output suits the listed Canon batteries but cannot fast-charge or serve higher-capacity packs. Users needing simultaneous multi-bay charging will require a different unit.

Single-bay 600mA charge rate

The 600 milliamp output determines how quickly a depleted BP-709, BP-718 or BP-727 reaches full capacity. Videographers who must cycle several batteries during a shoot should plan for sequential charging or add extra chargers.

Questions about this item

Which Canon BP battery models does this Kastar BP718 charger support?

It charges Canon BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 lithium-ion batteries, covering the US 6055B002 pack used across many VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorders.

What does the 600 mA output mean for charge time on a typical BP-718 pack?

The charger delivers 4.2 V at 600 mA, so a depleted BP-718 battery will reach full charge in roughly three to four hours depending on its remaining capacity.

How does the foldable flat plug affect use with 100–240 V mains worldwide?

The folding pins let the unit sit flush in a bag, and the 100–240 V 50–60 Hz input works on any standard wall outlet without a voltage converter.
