This wall charger powers Kodak KLIC-8000 and Ricoh DB-50 batteries used in models such as the Kodak Z612 IS, Z712 IS, Z812 IS, Z885, Z1012 IS, Z1015 IS, Z1085 IS, Z1485 IS, Z8612 IS and Pocket Video Camera ZX1 series, plus Ricoh Caplio R1, R1S, R1V, R2 and RZ1. It replaces the original Kodak K7600-C, K8500-C and Ricoh BJ-5 chargers. Buyers with cameras outside this list cannot use the unit.

Input voltage and LED status

The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and delivers DC 4.2 volts at 600 milliamps through a foldable flat plug for compact storage. A red LED shows charging is active while a green LED indicates standby or a full charge. No fan or active cooling is present so operation remains silent.

Sustained charging behaviour

Under continuous use the unit maintains its 600 milliamp output until the battery reaches 4.2 volts then switches to the green standby indication. The foldable plug and small 3 by 2 by 1 inch form factor keep heat dissipation passive. It is not suited for charging multiple batteries simultaneously or for batteries with different voltage requirements.
