It replaces the Canon LP-E12 pack and works with the LC-E12 charger. The 16.6 Wh cell is built with over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating protection circuits. It meets UL1642 and CE safety standards for reliable operation.

Voltage and Capacity Limits for This Pack

The 7.2V nominal voltage is fixed by the cell chemistry and cannot be changed by the user. Capacity is rated at 2300mAh, which translates to 16.6 Wh of stored energy. Run time depends on the specific camera model, shooting mode, LCD use and ambient temperature. The protection circuit will cut output if current, voltage or temperature exceed safe thresholds, so sustained high-drain video recording may trigger an early shutdown.

Simple Drop-In Installation

Installation requires opening the camera battery door, aligning the contacts and sliding the pack until it clicks. No tools or firmware updates are needed.
