Four-Battery Kit for Canon LP-E17 Cameras

This pack supplies four 7.4 V lithium-ion cells rated at 1450 mAh each, delivering 10.44 Wh per unit. It targets photographers using Canon EOS Rebel, EOS M or EOS R mirrorless bodies that accept the LP-E17 form factor. The bundle also includes a single AC wall charger so every battery can be topped up from mains power.

Sustained Charging Behaviour

The wall charger accepts 100–240 V AC input and delivers a steady 8.4 V at 600 mA to each cell. Because the current is modest, a fully depleted pack reaches its green-light state over several hours rather than in a quick burst. The red-to-green LED transition signals when the constant-voltage phase ends and the battery is ready for extended shooting sessions.

Charger Compatibility Limit

The supplied charger will not work with Canon original LC-E17 or LC-E17E units, so owners of those docks must keep their factory charger. The foldable flat-pin design eases storage but the fixed 600 mA output means charging four batteries sequentially takes a full overnight cycle. Users needing simultaneous multi-bay charging should look for a separate multi-slot solution.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the charger produce when running all day?

The charger draws AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz and outputs DC 8.4V at 600mA, so heat output stays low during extended use.

What must I already own to use these batteries?

You need a compatible Canon camera such as the EOS R8, R50, R100, Rebel T8i or any model listed that accepts LP-E17 batteries.

Will these batteries work in my older Canon BG-E18 grip?

Yes, the LP-E17H batteries are compatible with the Canon BG-E18 and BG-E18 IR grips.
