Dual USB charger for Sony NP-FM500H batteries

The Kastar LTD2 accepts two NP-FM500H or NP-FM500HN cells and charges them simultaneously from a single 5 V 2–3 A USB source. It is aimed at photographers using Sony Alpha DSLR or SLT bodies from the A200 through A900 series who want a compact travel charger that does not require the original AC adapter.

USB power delivery limited to 15 W input

The charger draws up to 15 W through either a Micro-USB or USB Type-C port and delivers 8.4 V at 800 mA per slot whether one or two batteries are inserted. A standard 5 V 2 A phone charger will run a single cell at full rate, but two cells share the available current so each may charge more slowly if the source cannot sustain 3 A. No mains cable or high-power PD brick is included.

Interchangeable plates and LCD status readout

A swappable battery plate lets the same base charge other Sony packs when the correct plate is fitted, reducing the number of chargers a multi-body shooter must carry. The built-in LCD shows voltage and capacity percentage for each slot so you can confirm a full charge before leaving the bag. The unit measures roughly 5 by 3 by 1 inches and weighs little enough for a camera bag pocket.
