Dual charger for Midland two-way radio batteries

The Kastar LTD2 charges two compatible Li-ion packs at once. It fits Midland BATT10 and AVP13 cells used in T71, T75, T77 and T79 X-Talker radios. The unit accepts power from any 5 V USB source. No battery is included in the pack.

LCD status display and dual USB inputs

An integrated LCD shows charge level and progress for each bay. The charger offers both Micro-USB and Type-C inputs and ships with a Micro-USB cable. This lets you power it from a wall adapter, power bank or vehicle port without extra leads.

Simple drop-in insertion with USB power limits

Batteries slide into the bays and begin charging automatically. The 800 mA per bay rate means a full cycle takes several hours. Users must supply a 5 V source capable of 2 to 3 A; weaker adapters will slow or halt the process.

Questions about this item

Does the LCD USB dual charger itself wear out and need replacement?

The charger has no user-replaceable parts; only the Midland BATT10 or AVP13 Li-ion batteries will need replacing when they no longer hold a charge.

What stops the charger from running continuously at full output?

Each bay delivers 800 mA at 4.2 V; the 5 V 2-3 A input limit is reached first when both bays are active.

How hot or noisy does the unit get when charging two batteries all day?

No fan is fitted; the charger relies on passive cooling and stays silent, with only mild warmth during dual-bay operation.
