Dual-bay charger for TalkAbout radios

The Kastar LTD2 is a USB-powered charger that accepts two compatible Motorola TalkAbout radio batteries simultaneously. It is aimed at users who keep several handsets ready for group outings, events or work crews and want a single compact unit to top them up.

Two-bay capacity with 800 mA per slot

Each bay delivers 8.4 V or 4.2 V at 800 mA, so a pair of depleted packs charges in parallel without slowing down. The LCD shows individual status and remaining capacity, letting you confirm both cells are full before you head out. It stops at two batteries; larger fleets need multiple chargers.

Micro-USB and USB-C input flexibility

The charger draws 5 V at 2–3 A from either a Micro-USB or a USB-C port, and a Micro-USB cable is included. This means you can power it from common phone adapters, power banks or vehicle ports without hunting for a proprietary wall wart.

Questions about this item

Will the Kastar LTD2 charge the battery from my older Motorola TalkAbout T5710 radio alongside a newer T5950 pack?

Yes, the charger supports the 53615, 1532 and 56315 battery models used by the T5710, T5720, T5800, T5820, T5900, T5920 and T5950 radios, and its dual bays charge two packs simultaneously.

How can I confirm the Kastar LTD2 is charging both batteries correctly after I plug it in?

The intelligent LED display shows the charging status and battery capacity for each bay, so you can see both packs progressing at the 800 mA single-bay or dual-bay rate.

Does the Kastar LTD2 package include the radio batteries or only the charger and cable?

The box contains the LTD2 USB dual charger and a Micro-USB cable; batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.
