Kastar LTD2 Dual USB Charger

The Kastar LTD2 is a compact USB dual charger designed for Lawmate, RCA and Thomson lithium-ion batteries. It powers two packs simultaneously and accepts Micro-USB or USB-C input, making it suited for field use with portable power banks. An integrated LCD shows charge status and remaining capacity for each slot.

For single-bay Lawmate, RCA and Thomson packs

This charger suits operators who need to top up two RD2400A-BAT compatible batteries at once from any 5 V USB source. It will not help users whose devices require a different voltage, a proprietary dock or a higher current than the fixed 800 mA per bay output provides.

Fixed 800 mA per bay output

Each channel delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA regardless of the power source, so total charge time is determined by that current limit. Buyers needing faster replenishment or adjustable current should look for a charger with a higher rated output.

Questions about this item

Do I need a specific battery plate to charge my Lawmate RD2400A-BAT with this charger?

Yes, the charger uses interchangeable plates; you must fit the plate that matches the RD2400A-BAT form factor before charging.

Will this unit charge the original battery from my RCA Lyra X2400 alongside a Lawmate PV-800 pack?

It can charge two batteries at once provided both use the same plate type; mixed plate types require swapping the plate between slots.

How do I confirm the charger is delivering the rated 4.2 V 800 mA to each slot?

The built-in LCD shows real-time voltage and capacity for each bay; when both read 4.2 V and 100 % the charge is complete.
